Risk mitigation measures have to be established and implemented when the risk assessment concludes non-negligible risk for an indicator.

It is important to demonstrate and document how decisions on risk mitigation procedures and measures were made.

Consider sourcing materials directly from an FSC-certified forest (FSC 100%) or through an FSC-certified supply chain (REG+) as a sufficient measure to mitigate risks. Note that this doesn't exempt organizations from implementing additional risk mitigation measures if new information arises or if concerns that could impact conformity with certification requirements become apparent.
